How to Help
Nameless Cemetery is maintained entirely by volunteers. Whether you have family here, live nearby, or simply care about preserving Texas history, there are meaningful ways to contribute.
Volunteer
Grounds work is the most immediate help including mowing, weed-eating, tree trimming, picking up small rocks, old plants, etc left on graves, and anything that needs attention.
Next work day: Saturday, April 11, 2026, in preparation for the April 18 Return to Nameless event. Bring tools and gloves. See event details or reach out to let us know you're coming.
To Make a Donation
Donations help with the upkeep of the grounds including mowing and general repair when needed. Donations are our only means of support, so we welcome any amount that is made to help us preserve this old historic cemetery.
Donations can be made by check made out to Nameless Cemetery Assoc. and mailed to:

Share What You Know
If your family has connections to Nameless Cemetery or the Nameless community, your stories and records matter. Old photos, letters, family Bibles, burial records, and oral history all help build a more complete picture of the people buried here.
We are especially interested in:
- Photos of headstones, the cemetery, or the community (any era)
- Family genealogy records connecting to burials at Nameless
- Stories about the Nameless community, the schoolhouse, or the families here
- Corrections or additions to our burial records
Please contact us with your stories. Every detail helps preserve the record.
Attend an Event
The annual meeting (second Saturday in October) and community events at the Nameless Schoolhouse are the best way to connect with the association and meet other families with ties to this place.
Spread the Word
Follow us on Facebook and share our posts. If you know someone with family connections to Nameless Cemetery, point them our way. Many descendants don't know the association exists.
Also follow Friends of Nameless School, the nonprofit that preserves the historic 1909 schoolhouse next door. The school and cemetery share the same land and the same community.
